Recently with the creation of the High Pressure Carbon Oxide disproportionation (HiPCO) process, a more stable yield of Carbon Nanotube (CNT) was obtained. The problem with the HiPCO process is that incorporates many iron impurities inside the Single Walled Carbon Nanotubes (SWCNTs) to be used in Digital and Electronic devices. In this work we described an approach to purify and segregate SWCNTs from the iron impurities to be use in the fabrication of thin films and interconnects, using inkjet technology and bacteria. Hence, this novelty process involves the use of bacteria organisms for the cleaning of iron impurities enclosed inside the SWCNTs, and inkjet technology for the manipulation of the material and manufacturing of the thin films and interconnects. This approach will help to the construction of novel conductors, transistors and thin films for future nano-engineered structures that could be used for nano scale electronics, implants, and bio-materials.;After much research and work we create a new cleaning process and have developed a new low cost method of using bacteria to removed impurities from HiPCO SWCNT as well implementing inkjet technology to create SWCNT thin films and interconnects. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Thin films, Inkjet technology, Carbon nanotubes, Bacteria, Using, Approach, Impurities | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
