The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of delivering health information on diabetes prevention to a group of African American men utilizing a podcast on a laptop computer in a barbershop setting. The conceptual framework for this study was the Health Belief Model. There were a total of 30 subjects who participated in the research, 15 from each site. The results from the paired T-test showed that the mean post test score was significantly higher than the mean pre-test score.
