The subject of this thesis is the synthesis of a series of star-shaped compounds based on 7-azaindole, indole and 3-methyl indole. All of these organic compounds have highly pi-conjugated structures with different cores such as benzene, 1,3,5-triazine.; New 7-azaindole derivatives, 2,4,6-tris(1-N-7-azaindolyl)-1,3,5-triazine (S1), 1,3,5-tris[p-(1-N-7-azaindolyl)phenyl]benzene (S2), 2,4,6-tris[p-(1-N-7-azaindolyl)phenyl]1,3,5-triazine (S3) have been synthesized and fully characterized. The photoluminescent and electronic properties of these compounds were studied.; Novel indole and 3-methyl indole derivatives, 1,3,5-tris[3,5-bis(N-indolyl)-4 '-biphenyl]benzene (S5), 2,4,6-tris[3,5-bis(N-indolyl)-4 '-biphenyl]-1,3,5-trizine (S6), 1,3,5-tris[p-[ N-(3-methyl-indolyl)]phenyl]benzene (S4), 1,3,5-tris[3,5-bis[ N-(3-methyl-indolyl)]-4'-biphenyl]benzene (S7) have been synthesized and characterized. The photoluminescent and electronic properties of these compounds were investigated.; The synthetic strategies for this series of molecules involve N-arylation at mild temperature and Suzuki Cross-coupling reactions. |
