The Occupational Therapy Role in the Management of Frontotemporal Dementia: A Systematic Literature Revie

This systematic literature review identifies and synthesizes research findings of behavioral and cognitive interventions with individuals with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD). The research identifies few evidence-based occupational therapy interventions for this population. Of the eleven articles found, two had findings with evidence supported interventions. The importance of identifying the role of occupational therapy as part of the treatment for FTD and the need for further evidence-based research is discussed.
