It also analyzed the relationship between health-promoting lifestyle activities and weight reduction of obese patients. Many studies have been performed looking at the types of weight loss treatments. No published studies were found to analyze the effectiveness of health-promoting lifestyle behaviors and weight loss recommendation for obese patients, thereby creating a need for this research.;A convenience sample of 56 patients was compared and analyzed utilizing weight recommendation and Health Promotion Lifestyle Profile II (HPLP II). Results showed that the weight loss recommendation by primary clinicians was truly effective as evidenced by weight reduction of patients diagnosed with obesity. The patients who had overall higher scores in health-promoting lifestyles and diagnosed with obesity had greater weight reduction compared to patients who had overall lower HPLP II scores. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Weight, Primary care setting, Patients who had overall, HPLP II, Clinicians, Effectiveness, Diagnosed with obesity | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
