Abstract/Summary:
The synthesis, structure, spectroscopy, electrochemistry, and reactivity of the novel oxo complexes Pr;Detailed kinetic and product studies of C-H bond activation and O-atom transfer reactions of the structurally characterized complex Ph;The synthesis, spectroscopy, electrochemistry, and structures of the novel alkoxide bridged Mn(III, III) and Mn(III, IV) dimers are presented. The Mn(III, III) dimer is the immediate synthetic precursor to the Mn(V)-oxo complex. The Mn centers are weakly antiferromagnetically coupled, the magnitude of which is surprisingly dependent upon the size of the counterion.
