P300 Event-related potential (ERP) procedure was used to investigate information processing in relation to memory and imagery variables on normal young adult males and females. Tasks were auditory odd-ball P300 task, high and low visual imagery word recall, and the forward and reverse digit span tests. Significant interactions of site by group were found with the P300 amplitude and latency. Hemispheric asymmetry of the P300 was interactive with the subject's sex when correlated with the behavioral data. Results of the investigation were discussed relative to the scalp location, subject's sex and age, ear, imagery value of word recall, and digit span measure.
