Test-retest reliability data were calculated for the Test of Language Development-2 Intermediate (TOLD-2). Sixty-one children participated from the mid-Michigan area, divided into three age groups (i.e., 8-, 10- and 12-year-olds). The examiner individually administered the TOLD-2 Intermediate to all the study participants once and then again 2 weeks later. The reliability of the TOLD-2 Intermediate Composites and Overall Spoken Language Quotients at each age was adequate (i.e.,.85 or better) for making eligibility decisions. Caution should be used when using the TOLD-2 Intermediate for making eligibility decisions with 8-year-olds because of the lack of 8-year-olds in the standardization study.
