The Shiweidong deposit is located in the middle section of Dahutang ore concentration area.The outcropped strata in the deposit are weakly metamorphosed rock series of the Neoproterozoic Shuangqiaoshan Group.Three fault systems are dominant in the deposit,striking nearly east-west(NEE),northeast to north north-east and southwest respectively.The Yanshannian porphyritic muscovite granite stock is closely related to the mineralization.The alteration types include greisenization,micacization,silicification and potash feldspathization.Tungsten-bearing quartz veins and tungsten-bearing granites are the most important mineralization types.In this study,the data of geological and mineral resources information,geophysical exploration,geochemical exploration and drilling results have been comprehensively collected.Based on research of ore deposit geology,mineralogy and geochemistry of Shiweidong tungsten deposit and other typical ore deposits in the region,We summarized the metallogenic regularity and prospecting.Following preliminary knowledge is obtained.1.Based on detailed geological characteristics of magmatic rocks,a new scheme of intrusive phases of the granite around the Shiweidong area is proposed,which divided the early Yanshannian granite into three stages.Time series and differentiation evolution sequence of multistage magmatism in Yanshan period are established as follows.The lithologies of granite change from the porphyritic muscovite granite in the first stage to the porphyritic biotite granite,fined grained biotite granite in the second stage,to the middle to course grained muscovite granite,fine grained muscovite granite in the third stage.Through the study of REE distribution patterns,mineral and chemical compositions of the granite,we confirmed that the genetic type of granites in the region is shallow-sourced,hypabyssal S-type granite.2.Mineralization types of large quartz veins,quartz vein zones,veinlet-disseminated veins,and mineralized intrusion are recognized in the region based on characteristics of four mineralization types.We summarized the metallogenic regularities,and eventually built up a metallogenic model.3.Seven mining prospect signs are summarized and one mineral perspective areas is predicated.The Caotougang mining area has the potential to exceed large scale resource reserve.
