Terahertz wave is located between the microwave band and the optical band,and there is no large-scale application at present.In this paper,the application of terahertz wave is the main background.Through theoretical calculation and experimental measurement,the terahertz scattering characteristics of the target are studied,and the influencing factors of terahertz scattering characteristics are revealed.In view of the particularity of terahertz frequency band,different calculation methods are used for common calculation examples.The scattering characteristics of terahertz frequency band are mainly studied from two aspects of electromagnetic method and optical method,which provides data support for simulation and test of terahertz frequency band target electromagnetic scattering.It has certain theoretical and application value.This paper introduces the common methods of target calculation in terahertz band.For THz scattering of random rough surface,Kirchhoff's method,which is commonly used to calculate the target's surface roughness,is introduced.The scattering characteristics of random rough surface of different materials of metal and medium are given.The BRDF method of rough surface scattering is introduced to explore the influence factors of surface roughness on the scattering characteristics of metal and medium.For the surface rough target,the coherent scattering and incoherent scattering are explored The scattering characteristics of terahertz targets with different surface roughness are revealed.The BRDF multi parameter model is established,and the theoretical calculation results of dihedral and trihedral corner reflectors are given by optical method,which is of great military value.For the smooth metal target,the method of equivalent edge electromagnetic flow is used to calculate its scattering characteristics.At the same time,the scaling characteristics of THz band using edge electromagnetic flow method are derived and verified.The last chapter is the experimental part of the paper.Combined with the existing conditions,the experimental platform is built to measure the rough sphere,rough cylinder and rough cube.Through the theoretical calculation and experimental measurement of simple targets,this paper has an important guiding significance for further exploring other complex targets in terahertz band,and lays the foundation for the follow-up research work.
