Since the 21 st century, the process of urbanization in China has continued to accelerate, and more and more people have gathered in cities, which has led to the continuous increase in the size of cities and the development of high-density cities. At the same time, energy elements are concentrated and consumed in the city.Under the combined effect of large-scale urban construction and energy consumption, the original spatial form and ecological balance of the city have been profoundly and thoroughly changed and more and more urban ecological and environmental problems have emerged.Among them, the more common environmental problems are urban heat island effects and haze weather. These urban ecological problems have a great impact on urban climate, industrial production, and residents' lives, and seriously affect the construction of a good living environment. Therefore, how to improve the quality of urban living environment through the rational use and improvement of ventilation has quickly become one of the hot topics for contemporary planners. At present, some cities at home and abroad have been exploring the construction of urban ventilation corridors. However, these studies mainly determine the overall layout of urban ventilation corridors through theoretical analysis and qualitative analysis at the overall planning level through the rationality of urban spatial layout and the treatment of architectural relationships. So far,the planning theories and methods of urban ventilation corridors in China are still in a state of insufficient systematic, comprehensive and scientific quantitative research, especially in typical mountain cities, there is a lack of systematic research on urban ventilation corridors. Therefore, for Chongqing,a typical mountain city, its ventilation corridor planning has certain exploration value and research value. Therefore,on the basis of the existing urban ventilation corridor planning and research, this paper uses the meteorological data, remote sensing satellite data, and basic geographic information data of Chongqing's main urban area to apply numerical simulation methods to the background wind environment of the study area in WRF software and compared with the statistical analysis of the background wind of the meteorological data, the more practical background wind in the study area is obtained. In addition, the spatial analysis method of Arc GIS is used to extract remote sensing information and urban spatial form information, and analyze the ventilation potential of the current status of the region including urban heat island intensity, urban ecological cold source, urban roughness length, urban sky-view factor, urban street aspect ratio, urban ground coverage ratio and urban ventilation potential. Finally, combined with the background wind conditions of the study area and the urban ventilation potential level, the urban ventilation corridor is constructed.Through research, this article identifies and constructs five first-level urban ventilation corridors, eight second-level urban ventilation corridors, and eighteen third-level urban ventilation corridors within the study area.At the same time, facilities and design strategies at different levels related to the ventilation corridor are given. This research is based on the summary of the current theoretical foundations of ventilation corridors at home and abroad, based on model simulation and quantitative analysis of the construction methods of urban ventilation corridors, which provides a strong basis for urban planning and management in Chongqing and increases the forward-looking planning;Secondly,Chongqing is a typical mountain city and high-temperature city, and this research helps to supplement the practical gaps in the construction of ventilated corridors in mountainous cities, and at the same time, has the value of promoting the wind environment research practice of other mountainous cities.
