Photonic crystals(PCs)are nanomaterials composed of two or more orderly arranged materials with different dielectric constants.Photonic crystals have a unique optical property,which is called photonic bandgap.Photonic crystals can prevent the spreads of light with a certain wavelength.Because of this characteristic,photonic crystals have been widely used in optical waveguides,display,sensing and other fields.Patterning photonic crystals to form specific patterns or responsive patterns can greatly enhance photonic crystals' application possibilities.The patterning of photonic crystals can be divided into patterning of single-component photonic crystals,patterning of multi-component photonic crystals,and the responsive patterning of photonic crystals focused in this paper.Click chemistry is a method of chemical synthesis first proposed by American chemist K.Barry Sharpless which take the advantage of small units' rapidly and reliably combination.The click chemistry can be reacted with simple reaction conditions,high reaction efficiency and strong selective reaction.Patterning photonic crystals through click chemistry to modified different regions with various chemical groups can give us patterned phonic crystals with various responsive hidden patterns.This paper studied and discussed the photonic crystals patterning method based on click chemistry.We successfully prepared clickable photonic crystals with vinyl on the surface.Then we realized patterning photonic crystals through thiol-vinyl click chemistry including patterning with different chemical groups and patterning with one chemical group in different concentration.The main research contents of this paper are:(1)Preparation of clickable photonic crystals(Chapter 2): Monodisperse silicon dioxide nanoparticles with vinyl on the surface were prepared from tetraethyl orthosilicate and vinyl triethoxysilane.Through deposition,clickable photonic crystals with vinyl outside were achieved.(2)Preparation of photonic crystals with multiple chemical groups patterned on the surface(Chapter 3): Realized the modification of photonic crystals with various chemical groups through vinyl-thiol click chemistry.Control the reaction region to patterning photonic crystals through UV light and photo initiator.The achieved patterned photonic crystals show different responsiveness in various infiltrating liquid.(3)Preparation of photonic crystals with density gradient of surface functional groups(Chapter4): Pattern the photonic crystals with gradient concentration chemical groups through UV power and UV exposure time.
