The Mishrif formation in Missan oilfield develops the marine carbonate reservoirs, which has multifarious reservoir space, and the physical properties are greatly affected by the theory of sedimentary facies controlled in the horizontal and vertical directions. The geological understanding of high-quality reservoirs is insufficient. With the production of the oilfield, the problem is gradually exposed. Therefore, this paper studied the Mishrif carbonate reservoir of FQ oilfield in Missan oilfield, and classified the highquality reservoir area.On the basis of fully understanding the previous research results and combining with the geological background, core, physical experiment and logging data in oilfield development, this paper identified the sequence interface and system domain, established the sequence framework, and revealed the distribution characteristics of the formation.Based on the research of facies marks of the core in the study area, the Mishrif group in FQ oilfield reservoir developmented in shallow water carbonate platform deposits, which belongs to the open platform facies. There are three subfacies: beach, sea between beach and open sea.Based on the analysis of subphase relationships, the sedimentary model of the isolated platform during Mishrif period was established.Through the observation and analysis of core wafer, the reservoir space types were identified, mainly including three types: dissolution-pore type,matrix-pore type,micro-fissure-pore type.Through the core physical property test, the reservoir physical property research was carried out.Combined with the sedimentary facies research, the comprehensive evaluation of the distribution of high-quality reservoirs in the research area was carried out, which will provide an important geological basis for the next development work.
