The waste dump is a huge loose landfill which is artificially stacked in open pit mine,its stability plays an important role in the entire mine production processin.With the expansion of the scale of mining projects,the number and height of waste dump projects have gradually increased,which can easily cause damage to the waste dump and cause landslides and other disasters.Especially for waste dumping sites with complex terrain,its stability is affected by many factors such as the shape of the basement,the parameters of the soil,and the stacking height.Therefore,exploring the stability and influencing factors of the waste dump site and mastering the failure mode are of great significance to the subsequent slope prevention and control.This paper takes the waste dumping site of the Mirador copper mine in Ecuador as the background to establish a numerical analysis model and use FLAC3Dsoftware and strength reduction theory for calculation.The main research contents and results are as follows:(1)By changing the slope angle of the waste dump,the friction angle and the cohesive force of the waste dump,and considering the different base forms of the waste dump,the factors affecting the stability of the waste dump were analyzed.It is calculated that within a certain range of soil strength,the stability safety factor is affected by the shape of the foundation.Summarized the change law between the safety factor and the slope angle,the internal friction angle and the cohesive force of the waste dumped soil.(2)Simulate the layer stacking process of the waste dumping site,obtain the stress displacement cloud diagram after stacking,and calculate the waste dumping site safety factor based on the strength reduction theory.In order to better explore the deformation of the waste dump,monitoring points and monitoring lines are arranged on the base and slope of the waste dump,and the displacement and stress changes of the waste dump during the whole process are calculated.From the analysis of the results,the first damage position and potential sliding surface position of the dump were obtained,and the s Tablestate of the dump was evaluated.(3)In view of the stability of the waste dump site,anti-slide piles are used to strengthen it.According to different pile lengths and pile positions,four groups of schemes are designed.The calculation results show that anti-slide piles can effectively improve the stability of the slope.By comparing and analyzing the safety factor,displacement,shear strain increment and the internal force and deformation of anti-slide piles after reinforcement,the influence law of pile length and pile position on the stability of the waste dump is obtained,and the optimal reinforcement scheme is determined.
