Wind speed and direction is an important part of meteorological elements,which plays an extremely important role in human production activities.Most of the traditional wind speed measurement methods and instruments can only measure twodimensional wind speed.Wind speed is a kind of three-dimensional vector,the result of three-dimensional measurement is obviously more accurate,so it is very necessary to study the three-dimensional wind speed measurement.Among many wind speed measurement methods,ultrasonic wind measurement has gradually become the mainstream in the field of wind measurement because of its advantages such as easy to measure three-dimensional wind speed,fast response,good durability and strong antiinterference.Based on the comparative analysis of various ultrasonic wind measurement techniques,the design and development of ultrasonic three-dimensional anemometer is carried out by using the time difference method.Firstly,on the basis of extensive investigation,the three-dimensional structure of ultrasonic anemometer is designed based on time difference method,and some key parameters of the structure are calculated mathematically.It is proved that the structure can ensure that the wind vector W in any direction can be decomposed into three pairs of wind vector W1?W2?W3 in the direction of ultrasonic sensor.According to the installation angle,the coordinate transformation between the sensor coordinate system and the installation coordinate system is carried out,and finally the industry default plane wind Vx?Vy and vertical wind VZ are obtained.According to this,the horizontal wind direction angle ?h and pitch angle ?v are calculated.Secondly,based on the above theoretical analysis and scheme structure,the hardware circuit of the sensor is designed,including high-voltage driving circuit,signal switching circuit,signal amplification and filtering circuit,analog-to-digital conversion circuit and processor circuit.The corresponding software program is compiled,including ultrasonic transducer control,data acquisition,data processing and wind speed and direction calculation.When calculating the wind speed,the least square method is used to calculate the displacement between the characteristic waveform and the actual measured waveform depending on the processor's powerful computing power,which greatly improves the measurement accuracy.Finally,the assembly of the whole three-dimensional ultrasonic anemometer is completed.After several times of debugging and optimization of hardware parameters and software algorithm,the sensor is tested and analyzed.The test results show that the wind speed measurement error of the anemometer is less than 0.3m/s in the range of 0?20m/s,and less than 3%in the range of 20m/s?30m/s.The wind direction measurement error is less than 3°in the range of 0?359° horizontally and-90?90°vertically.The above measurement results show that this anemometer can meet the needs of real life and production,and has high use value.A three-dimensional ultrasonic anemometer which has less research in domestic companies and high price in foreign companies is realized at a low cost.And its performance parameters can meet the practical requirements.
