Microtus fortis and Tscherskia triton, both belong to Rodentia,Circetidae. They are common rodent species in northeastern China, and they overlap in niche. At present, most of the studies on the two kinds of mice are ecological, and there is no report on the composition of the intestinal flora of the two kinds of mice. The gut microbiota plays an important role in many aspects of the growth and development of the host, and forming a unified whole with the host in the long-term evolution.Exploring the structural composition of the intestinal flora of the two rodents will provide basic microbiological data for in-depth study of the two rodents in the future, prevention and control of harmful microorganisms in agriculture and forestry, and effective assessment of the risk of rodent-borne diseases. In this paper,16 Sr DNA high-throughput sequencing technology was used to make a preliminary study on the intestinal flora of oriental vole and large hamster in the Mudanjiang Hailang Airport area, the results are as follows:(1)At the phylum level, the intestinal flora of Microtus fortis and Tscherskia triton were dominated by Firmicutes,Bacteroidetes and Proteobacteria. At the order level,Microtus fortis were dominated by Bacteroidales,Clostridiales, and Desulfovibrionales,Tscherskia triton were dominated by Clostridiales,Bacteroidales,Lactobacillales.(2)Alpha diversity analysis shows that the species diversity of the intestinal flora of Microtus fortis is significantly greater than that of Tscherskia triton.Beta diversity analysis shows that there is a clear separation between the two groups of Microtus fortis and Tscherskia triton.(3)Through Anosim analysis, there were significant differences in the intestinal flora of Microtus fortis and Tscherskia triton.(4)Gender had no significant effect on the gut microbiota composition of two kinds of mice.(5)Phenotypic prediction of intestinal flora of Microtus fortis and Tscherskia triton was conducted by using the Bug Base tool, and nine phenotypes were detected. The abundance of aerobic bacteria in the intestinal tract of Microtus fortis was significantly higher than that of Tscherskia triton, and the remaining 8 phenotypes had no significant difference.(6)Based on KEGG function database,Using PICRUSt to predict and Compare the gut microbiota function of Microtus fortis and Tscherskia triton. The functions of two kinds of murine gut microbiota are dominated by metabolism, environmental information and genetic information processing. There were two significant functional differences between the two in the KEGG class 1 pathway and eight significant functional differences in the KEGG class 2 pathway,of which four were extremely significant.
