The abrasion caused by friction is one of the main causes of failure of all fabrics affected by external machinery.Therefore,the wear resistance of fabrics has always been an important research object of textile materials science.The current evaluation of wear resistance of fabrics is the most typical Martindale method as the representative of the wear-resistant test,the test method is to use abrasive and fabric to surface-to-surface contact friction,and this is easy to use,but there are some shortcomings as follows: it is impossible to measure the performance of the fabrics when the friction force is concentrated on the point,like the wear state of the crease tip of the fabric;It can not know when the fabric breaks;And most of the wear resistances are evaluated by artificial observation,which has a certain subjectivity,and there is no precise quantitative indicators.Under this situation,the research group developed a new type of air-flow fabric abrasion tester,designed to measure the wear point of fabric wear resistance.Under a certain inflation pressure,the wear tester rubs the crease point of the fabric,and when the crease point of the crease fabric is worn,holes will be generated,resulting in changes of the gas flow rate.The Bernoulli equation is used to convert the changing gas flow to the diameter of a circular hole equivalent to the damaged hole area.Using the equivalent aperture size to evaluate the crease abrasion resistant performance,the degree of damage to the fabrics over time under a given friction condition can be given in real time.It can alsobe judged from the recorded curves and data to start the experiment when the effective aperture value reaches the mutation point,the friction time is taken as the evaluation index,and the appearance evaluation is used as the auxiliary evaluation index.This subject of research involves the following five aspects:(1)Complete the air-flow fabric abrasion tester meter on the basis of its improvement in the early design.Stabilizes the connection between the cabinet and the internal components.Upgraded stepper motor drives,flow sensors,temperature sensors and pressure digital display,significantly reducing the drive system electromagnetic noise.At the same time increased oil-water separator,solenoid valve and two pressure regulating valve,significantly increased the stability of the pressure in use.(2)Based on air-flow fabric abrasion tester,explore the suitable data acquisition system and motion control system.The signal collected by the sensor is filtered by capacitive filter and inductive filter,and the collected data is digitally filtered and software processed by Lab VIEW,which greatly suppressed the impact of noise on the results,output the real-time equivalent diameter of the hole diameter directly,complete the friction point of fabric wrinkles test by air-flow fabric abrasion tester.(3)According to the principle of flow continuity and Bernoulli equation,the equivalent aperture formula is derived,and the equivalent aperture formula is corrected by drilling the polyester film to obtain the accurate equivalent aperture formula.You can use the Lab VIEW software to change the gas flow directly into the equivalent aperture value,in order to characterize the crease abrasion resistant performance.(4)The equivalent pore size and friction time are selected as the main evaluation indexes for the wearability of the down fabric,and the appearance evaluation is the auxiliary evaluation index.Based on the experiment,the experimental data were analyzed by mathematical method to determine the optimal inflation pressure and abrasive mesh number.(5)Starting from the specification and service performance parameters of feather fabric,the gray relational grade was used to analyze feather fabric specification parameters:square gram weight,fabric thickness,warp and weft density and serviceability: drape andair permeability which may affect crease abrasion resistant performance,through the direct analysis of fabric after-treatment on the crease abrasion resistant performance;using LLY-15 B fabric anti-drilling cashmere testing machine to test the anti-drilling cashmere performance on damaged fabric.Based on Pearson's correlation,the influence of the anti-drilling property of the damaged fabric on the crease abrasion resistant performance of the fabric is analyzed.Finally,discuss the difference of structure,test principle,test method,test result evaluation between air-flow fabric abrasion tester and Martindale abrasion tester.Concluded as follow:(1)In the same test conditions,the greater the equivalent pore size,the weaker the wear resistance of the fabric,and vice versa,the better;the shorter the friction time,the worse the crease abrasion resistant performance,and vice versa,the better.When the two fabrics have similar equivalent pore size values,the evaluation of the appearance is made through the aspects of the fluffing point of the fabric,the size of the holes viewed from the inside,and the concentration of the holes.(2)The best inflation pressure is 9kpa;the best abrasive mesh is 600 meshes.(3)The influence of six factors on the crease abrasion resistant performance are: drape coefficient> square gram weight> weft density> fabric thickness> density> air permeability;Fabric post-processing methods will affect the crease abrasion resistant performance;The anti-drilled fabric of the damaged fabric has almost no effect on the fabric's crease abrasion resistant performance.(4)The structure of the Martindale abrasion tester is simpler than that of the air-flow fabric abrasion tester,however Martindale abrasion tester is needed to remove the sample within a certain interval for manual evaluation,there is some subjectivity,air-flow fabric abrasion tester can output the real-time equivalent aperture value objectively,reflecting the crease abrasion resistant performance.At the same time,the evaluation method and targeted destroy the failure form are completely different.Can not substitute each other in this aspect.By comparing the results of the abrasion test of the feather fabric between Martindale abrasion tester and air-flow fabric abrasion tester,we can see: air-flow fabric abrasion tester is more stable,the measured data dispersion is smaller with the samematerial,the same test conditions.
