Nowadays,the garment product design field have undergone tremendous changes compared to traditional models.The personalization of the garment products is gradually popular,which the requirements for the fit and comfort of customized products continue to increase.At the same time,new experiential shopping models are gradually emerging which relies on technologies such as three-dimensional display of clothing products on the Internet shopping platform and personalized virtual fitting.Today’s garment product design is a combination of art and technology.The first step to realize the intelligent transformation of the clothing product design industry is to quickly obtain 3D human model data that meets the corresponding accuracy standards and finally formed a new trend of the garment product design based on 3D human data.Aiming at the above status quo and requirements and in order to meet the needs of the transformation and development of the garment product design field under the digital economy,this paper explores the application of 3D human body scanning technology in the design and development of the modern garment product to provide a direction for new garment product design models.This paper analyzes the current status of 3D human body scanning technology,selects 3D scanning methods of three different technical principles through experimental comparison,and compares the results of 3D human body scanning with traditional manual measurements to verify the accuracy of 3D human body model data.Using different data processing and model reconstruction methods for human model samples obtained from the 3D scanning method based on Kinect infrared depth sensing technology,it can obtain rich body size data and 3D human body models suitable for different application fields such as garment product design and virtual presentation.On this basis,this paper conducts an analysis based on the garment product design process,and combines practical cases to explore the application and value of human body model data based on 3D human body scanning technology in garment product design.According to the needs of human body data in the garment field,this paper uses the Kinect 3D human body scanning system to complete the original data collection,and completes the data optimization,processing and model reconstruction through Skanect,Rhino and Geomagic,and obtains rich and accurate human body data.This method has the advantages of good stability,fast acquisition speed,high data accuracy,and low labor cost,which provides a strong data foundation for digital applications in the garment field,assists companies and designers to improve the fit and comfort of the garment product,increases the satisfaction of consumer-centric personalized garment product customization services and drives the development of intelligent in the garment field.
