The Beijing clothing factory of the Ministry of the army was established in Beijing in 1912.At that time,Beiyang government realized the influence of military uniforms on the morale of military and national economy,so they determined to reform the military uniform.However,in the new period of the Republic of China,because of the complex domestic and international situations and disordered supply of military supplies,there was no military clothing factory under the direct control of the state.In order to solve the difficulties in the supply of domestic military clothing and adapt to the reform of military uniform,the Beijing clothing factory of the Ministry of the army was established.Due to the influence of the current situation,the clothing factory has been relocated for many times since its establishment,from Beijing to Tianjin,from Tianjin to Wuhan,from Wuhan to Chongqing,and finally to Jiangjin.After settling down in Jiangjin,Jiangjin clothing factory entered a period of steady development,and later developed into the largest military clothing factory in Southwest China.The number of employees,floor area,number of factory buildings,types of production and production capacity all increased steadily.In the process of development,Jiangjin clothing factory was constantly improving.The organization was becoming more and more complete.Different institutions were set up to take charge of corresponding affairs.The division of labor was reasonable,and the rights and responsibilities were clear.In management,the combination of military management,professional management and independent management of employees could improve management efficiency.In production,it improved the assembly line,expanded the factory buildings,established supporting facilities,and took businessmen as the undertaker to supplement the supply,so as to improve the production capacity.In personnel,management personnel were selected from the military and schools,apprentice training classes were set up to train backbone staff,and temporary staff were recruited to increase production capacity.There are three kinds of wages: basic wage,overtime wage and incentive wage at the end of the year.In addition,it also had a perfect welfare security system.There were corresponding systems in employee education,employee medical care,employee entertainment,employee development,employee pension and other aspects to solve the worries for the employees of the clothing factory.Jiangjin clothing factory was set down in jiangjin in 1938.Between 1938 and 1949,it had provided millions of clothing and tens of millions of clothing accessories for various organs and military schools,providing material support for the front-line war.The existence of quilt factories also provided stable jobs for a large number of people.A good staff training mechanism improved the overall quality of the staff and provides reference for the staff training of other factories.But at the same time,Jiangjin clothing factory also had many limitations,such as the insufficient funds caused that part of welfare work could not be realized;poor binding of contractors,frequent problems of clothing and large liquidity of temporary workers influenced the production.
