Tujia Brocade Pattern Bone Groove And Its Application Research

"Tujia Brocade" is one of the ethnic brocades of China’s ethnic minorities and has a history of nearly two thousand years.Its birthplace is dominated by the Youshui River Basin,and now it is mainly concentrated in Longshan County,Hunan Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture.Tujia brocade is an ancient folk craft of Tujia people,and it is also the crystallization of the wisdom and skills of Tujia girls and working women with ingenuity.Tujia brocade is a traditional art with a long history and ethnic art characteristics.It is not only a carrier of Tujia history and culture,geographical environment,religious beliefs,and aesthetic cultivation,but also decorative and practical.Its traditional patterns come from the daily life of the Tujia people.The selection of the pattern theme and the use of pattern styles and colors have rich ethnic characteristics.It records the folk customs and ethnic feelings of Tujia people.The Tujia brocade is a gem of Tujia art and a shining pearl in the handicrafts of Chinese minorities.However,with the updating and changing of the times,the improvement of living standards,and the foreign culture brought about by the rapid development of new media,Tujia brocade has been impacted by modern society,and it is facing a situation of gradual loss,due to its audience.The few and the single transmission route make Tujia brocade’s external communication more difficult.Based on the field investigation and research of Tujia brocade in Longshan County,Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture,Hunan Province,this paper first analyzes the artistic and cultural meaning of Tujia traditional patterns on the background of the historical traceability of Tujia brocade and understands the reasons for the formation of Tujia brocade patterns By analyzing and exploring the types and constitutional features of Tujia brocade patterns,and analyzing,drawing,organizing and classifying its patterns and skeleton structure.Popularize the traditional patterns of Tujia brocades in the form of patterns,so that more people can understand the Tujia brocades and make a contribution to the inheritance,development and protection of contemporary Tujia brocades.So far,according to field surveys and literature materials,we have looked at relevant materials on Tujia brocade.Scholars have many relevant materials on Tujia brocade patterns,but they all focus on brocade-related patterns,production techniques,modeling features,color matching and Cultural theories,etc.,there are few studies on the content of Tujia brocade’s internal pattern structure.After in-depth research on the materials of Tujia brocade,we have a certain understanding of the formation of Tujia brocade,its historical origin,and the relationship between ethnic cultural background.The research hopes to use the pattern of Tujia brocade as an entry point,analyze the mutual relationship between the pattern of Tujia brocade and the bone lattice,clarify the composition of the pattern bone lattice,and apply the law of the beauty of the bone texture of the Tujia brocade pattern to modern clothing design,home design and patterns In terms of design,to speed up the development of Tujia tapestry extension products.While better inheriting the intangible cultural heritage of Tujia brocade,Tujia brocade is created to adapt to the conditions that modern society should develop and form a stronger competitiveness with modern foreign commodities.For the research of Tujia brocade-like skeletons,this paper attempts to analyze the composition of brocade-like skeletons,and divide the brocade-like skeletons into two categories suitable for patterns and continuous patterns,and find them from political,economic,social,cultural and technological factors.The mental and material factors of the pattern bone lattice exist,forming a basis for the inheritance and innovation of the pattern of the Tujia brocade bone lattice.At the same time,through the research on the Tujia brocade-like skeleton,it puts forward some tentative discussions on how to apply the Tujia brocade-like skeleton to modern design and product development.
