Doctor blade is one of the most important parts in the gravure printing machine,which controls ink supply in the empty area during the high-speed reciprocating motion.However,in the process of ink controlling,complex friction and wear behaviors will be encountered in the doctor blade-plate cylinder system because of mechanical load and chemical corrosion of ink.The wear of doctor blade has a greater influence on the quality of publications and printing efficiency.Therefore,in order to improve the wear resistance performance and prolong the service life of the doctor blade,the micro groove textures are designed on the doctor blade surface,and the wear and friction performance are investigated for the doctor blade with and without micro textures.The main contents of the dissertation are present as follow:Firstly,a FEA model is built for the doctor blade by using the software of ABAQUS.On this basis,the contact characteristics of the doctor blade and its friction and abrasion performance are analyzed based on the ALE(Arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian Adaptive Meshing)technology,UMESHMOTION subprogram and Archard abrasion model.Secondly,the micro groove textures are designed on the surface of doctor blade to improve the friction and wear performance.A FEA model is built for the doctor blade with micro groove textures by using ABAQUS software.On this basis,the influences of groove geometry parameters(angle,spacing,width and depth)on the wear performance of the doctor blade are investigated,and the optimal groove geometry parameters are observed for minimizing the wear of the doctor blade.Finally,the geometry model and FEA model are built for the groove textured doctor blade with optimal geometry parameters(angle,spacing,width and depth).And then,in order to evaluate the structural performance of the groove textured doctor blade,the modal analysis is conducted to get the vibration mode and natural frequency of the groove textured doctor blade.The research in this dissertation can provide a theoretical reference for the optimization design and practical application of the textured doctor blade.
