As a new type of reaction material,Ni/Al can be induced to undergo a chemical reaction and release a large amount of energy when subjected to a strong impact.Due to the high density and large energy release capacity of Ni/Al reaction materials,it is expected to achieve high penetration depth and large aperture as a liner.However,its energy release characteristics are still unclear during formation and flight.In this paper,,the shape,velocity and energy release of the shaped charge particle jets of the Ni/Al reactive material liner under the action of explosive detonation are studied by means of the combination of experiment and numerical simulation technology.The main research contents are as follows:Ni/Al reactive material liner with three different molar ratios(n Ni:n Al=2:1,n Ni:n Al=1:1and n Ni:n Al=1:2)were prepared by cold pressing technology.The particle sizes of Ni powder and Al powder were 0-250 mesh and 80-200 mesh,respectively.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM)technology was used to observe the cross-section of the liners,and the results showed that the particle distribution was relatively uniform and the smaller Ni particles were filled around the Al particles.By measuring the parameters include weight,true density,thickness of liner and porosity with different proportions,It was found that the consistency of the same formulation was good,which can meet the experimental requirements.A continuous quasi-closed pressure chamber was used to study the energy release behavior of the shaped charge particle jets.The results showed that the reaction material with n Ni:n Al=2:1 has larger energy release capability,23.12k J.In addition,The reaction material of n Ni:n Al=1:1 has larger energy release capability in the first sealed chamber and has the highest reaction efficiency,which is up to 57.4%.The damage enhancement experiment results of the shaped charge particle jets of reactive materials on the aircraft fuel tank show that:both inert copper and Ni/Al reactive material liner can ignite 3#kerosene when penetrating the fuel tank.However,the Ni/Al reaction material made the pressure increases rapidly in the fuel tank due to its unique explosive effect,causing more serious damage to the fuel tank.The mechanical properties of the three kinds of Ni/Al reaction materials were tested by a universal testing machine,so as to obtain the stress-strain curve of different formula materials.The LS-DYNA numerical simulation software was used to simulate the shape and velocity of the shaped charge particle jets formed by the copper liner and the three kinds of Ni/Al reactive material liners.The results show that the continuity of the shaped charge particle jets in Ni/Al material is worse than that in Cu material,but the head velocity of the shaped charge particle jets is higher than that in Cu material.The relation between velocity and density is that the head velocity of the shaped charge particle jets decreases with the increase of the density of liner.
