With the continuous development of the times,the traditional manufacturing industry is under going great changes.Based on this,the "Industry 4.0" and "Made in China 2025" have been proposed.How to be more intelligent,more safe,more efficient,more cost-saving is the direction of the manufacturing industry which needs to explored.In this paper,the virtual simulation system of Gantry machine tool is constructed based on the digital twin theory,and the functions of simulation processing,code detection and collision detection are developed,for the optimization of the manufacturing process has carried out fruitful exploration.This topic is based on the Leading Research Direction "digital twin",this paper mainly studies the construction of digital twin model,the efficiency of collision detection,the verification of machining route and the real-time detection of machining.Taking Unity3 D as virtual development platform,C# as development language,Pro/E and3 DMAX as modeling software and Gantry machine as research object,a virtual simulation system with great practical value is designed.Its main research contents are as follows:(1)Constructed the virtual digital model: According to the advantages and disadvantages of common modeling software,the 3D model of machine tool is duplicated 1:1 by Pro/E.Considering the characteristics of cutting tool,the simplified 3D model and parameter model of cutting tool are constructed.Through Unity3 D and C#programming,the model vertex data and triangle patch information are read and processed,and the 3D model digital twin data are generated.(2)Designed the key algorithm: According to the characteristics of the virtual simulation system,the cutting Algorithm,NC Code Analysis,communication and other basic functions are designed and realized.(3)Research and improvement of Collision Algorithm: Based on the theory of Collision Algorithms,according to the conditions of the application of this subject,the hierarchical bounding box of hybrid tree structure,the set of hierarchical bounding boxes based on NC Code Analysis and based on region division are innovatively constructed.An Alternative Algorithm using rectangular patches and points as basic elements is implemented,which greatly improves the efficiency of collision detection.(4)Functional integration: Based on the above algorithms,function integration is carried out,and the functional interfaces are compiled to realize the functions of the virtual simulation system.
