General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed that high quality development is the theme of the "14th Five-Year plan".China’s economy should be transformed from high speed growth to high quality development. All sectors of society pay close attention to the contradiction between enterprise development and environmental protection.Among them, energy provides various forms of energy for human beings, but the pollution of the environment in the process of production and consumption is a major concern.Energy industry is the cornerstone of China’s economic development, but it is also a major environmental pollution giant in China’s development. The iron and steel industry needs to consume a lot of non renewable energy such as iron ore, coal and oil,and its production process is also polluting and dangerous. At the same time, affected by the continuous downturn of the international macro-economy,the overall price of the steel market is declining,so energy enterprises need to take the initiative in green transformation in their future development, and seek the possibility of survival and sustainable development. Therefore, whether the enterprises choose the strategy of increasing the expenditure on environmental protection will obtain the corresponding benefits has aroused widespread concern of scholars at home and abroad.Research on green transformation and financial performance is mostly empirical research, and the research on the relationship between green transformation and financial performance is also less. Therefore, this paper selects Liuzhou Steel Group as a case study from energy enterprises to explore the impact of green transformation of enterprises and the trend of financial performance of Liuzhou Steel Group, and to study the relationship between the two,so as to make contributions not only to the strategic decision of enterprises to actively carry out green transformation and improve our ecological environment, but also to promote the sustainable growth of enterprise economic benefits. This paper uses the method of literature analysis to sort out the domestic and foreign literature, scholars for green transformation, green development related indicators may affect the change trend of enterprise performance, respectively, the circular economy theory, stakeholder theory, social responsibility theory and sustainable development theory as the analysis basis of this paper, analyzes the current situation of green development, transformation of energy enterprises Based on the data of financial performance indicators of Liuzhou Steel Group from 2009 to 2019,this paper uses comparative analysis method to analyze the change trend of financial performance level before and after the transformation, and compares with the industry average to explore the relationship between green transformation and financial performance indicators It is found that the green transformation of Liuzhou Steel Group improves the solvency and operation ability of the enterprise, but reduces the profitability, and has no significant impact on the development ability. Therefore, for the sake of carrying out the positive green transformation of enterprises, this paper bring forth some proposals:firstly, enterprises should strengthen green innovation, promote industry university research and use cooperation, and integrate carbon emission reduction technology with other enterprises at the same time of independent green innovation;secondly, enterprises should carry out the green transformation with moderate diversified development and try to choose the best way Third,China should strengthen government supervision on environment, issue relevant guidance on iron and steel industry, implement emission permit system, and formulate certain innovation incentive policies.
