1J85 soft magnetic alloy,as a representative of traditional high-end soft magnetic materials,is by far the most widely used and most representative type of permalloy material. At this stage,high-performance permalloy materials are basically monopolized by foreign countries, especially in the fields of aviation and aerospace. There is still a certain gap between domestic products and the international advanced level, which seriously restricts the development of related industries to a higher level. In order to develop 1J85 soft magnetic alloy with better magnetic properties, this subject innovatively introduces rare earth magnesium processing technology into 1J85 alloy smelting, which improves the soft magnetic properties of the alloy by improving the cleanliness of the alloy, improving the structure and grain size.In this experiment, the effect of single addition of rare earth cerium, single addition of magnesium, and the cooperative treatment of rare earth and magnesium on the soft magnetic properties of the alloy was first studied through an arc smelting furnace pre-experiment.The research results show that all three treatment methods can improve the magnetic permeability and saturation magnetic induction strength of the alloy, and improve the magnetic properties of the alloy. When the mass fractions of Ce and Mg in the alloy are the same, the synergistic effect of rare earth and magnesium is better than that of Ce and Mg.The single effect of Mg;with the increase of the amount of rare earth magnesium, the magnetic permeability and saturation magnetic induction of the 1J85 alloy first increase and then decrease;when the mass fraction of Ce in the alloy is in the range of 0.026%to 0.061%,the best can be obtained 1J85 alloy with magnetic properties. The effect of rare earth magnesium on the cleanliness of 1J85 alloy was studied through a pre-experiment of a molybdenum disilicide furnace. The results of the research show that Ce and Mg have strong deoxidation and desulfurization capabilities. After the rare earth magnesium treatment of 1J85 alloy, the mass fraction of oxygen and sulfur showed a downward trend as a whole.Non-metallic inclusions such as MnS are transformed into rare earth composite inclusions with Ce2O3,CeS,and Ce2O2S as nucleation cores. The total number of inclusions decreases first and then increases, and the inclusions become coarse and diffusely distributed, and the area ratio decreases.Based on the pre-experimental research, the influence of the cleanliness and grain size changes of 1J85 alloy on the magnetic properties of the alloy was analyzed by vacuum induction furnace smelting experiments. The results show that the smaller the number of non-metallic inclusions such as Al2O3,MgO·Al2O3,and MnS,the larger the proportion of rare earth inclusions, and the greater the magnetic permeability of the alloy; The smaller the coercive.force of the alloy;the smaller the grain size, the greater the alloy’s magnetic permeability and the better its magnetic properties.
