Thangka is a treasure of painting art in Tibet,China,with strong Tibetan ethnic characteristics and extreme artistic expression,known as the encyclopedia.This article starts with the plant patterns of Thangka costumes.By analyzing the types,colors,patterns,and structural characteristics of the plant patterns of Thangka costumes,it finds the relevance to children’s clothing and uses it in children’s clothing design based on the correlation.This paper firstly summarizes the artistic features of Tangka’s line,color and composition.Secondly,the plant patterns in Thangka costumes were extracted and classified.Then further analysis and research on the relationship between the plant patterns of Thangka clothing and the color,pattern and composition of the children’s clothing,focusing on the artistic correlation between them,and proposed the color correlation,pattern correlation and composition correlation.Finally,according to the relevance,the design practice is used to design and create a series of Thangka clothing plant patterns as inspiration for children’s clothing that meets the aesthetic requirements of children.The research in this article is aimed at children preschool age.Children at this stage are at the stage of rapid physiological and cognitive development.In this paper,by extracting,sorting and researching the plant patterns of Thangka costumes,the patterns are designed to be innovative,and through correlations to form clothing models and patterns that meet the children’s aesthetic characteristics,in an attempt to take the culture and art of China’s ethnic minorities as fashion,Spreading to the next generation,it plays a subtle effect of dissemination,and better promotes the inheritance and development of our ethnic culture.
