Research On The Application Of Dress Fashion Elements In China In 1980s Based On The Pictures Of Fashion Magazine

In the 1980 s,the country carried out the reform and opening-up policy,which promoted the rapid development of the domestic economy,led to the vigorous development of the textile industry,and activated the long-dormant garment industry “Fashion Magazine”,which was founded in 1980,witnessed the enlightenment and development of China’s fashion industry,showing the popular clothes worn by women since the 1980 s in China,from which we can also perceive the change of women’s clothing concept.Therefore,the author based on the “Fashion Magazine”to explore the popular elements from the dress in the 80 s,and analyzed the social fashion style and dress development rule in 1980 s,coupled with a fashion agitation restoring ancient ways of fashion in recent years,and combined modern dress element with the 80 s pop elements.Author tried to develop a series of new fashion products to express the link between China’s modern fashion and the 80 s retro product,and tried to explore the new fashion style,the design and development of China’s women’s clothing in the future.First of all,this paper takes Chinese dresses in the 1980 s as the main research object,and excavates the popular elements of Chinese dresses in the 80 s through the picture materials from the “Fashion Magazine”.Then,during literature research and reading the “Fashion Magazine”,it helps the author to know China’s 80 s specific political,economic,cultural background of the apparel industry,and find out the same rules of dress popularity in“Fashion Magazine”.The rules can be divided into three periods: the early stage from 1980 to 1983,the middle and the late-stage are from 1984 to 1987 and from 1988 to 1989,respectively.There are 489 dress image materials are selected from the magazine in the 1980 s for analysis.Secondly,according to the different details from different stages research,it mainly includes style elements,color elements,fabric elements and details of four elements.Finally,through literature analysis and illustration analysis,respectively,this paper expounds on the three periods of the evolution law of the dress.Via reading popular elements,and their influence on the development of the dress,the author has drawn the following conclusions:(1)1980-1983,dress show more common and useful wearing style,although the reason for this is that people’s ideological liberation,but the pace of development in the early 80 s garment industry can’t satisfy people’s needs,on the dress is still conservative and formal;(2)1984-1987,the popularity of the dress began to have obvious changes,there was some exaggerated silhouette happened;(3)1988-1989,The popular style of dress began to diversify,the popular cycle is short,showing the male silhouette of women’s clothing,and soon popular back to women’s clothing silhouette,and the integration of international trends.The last part is the design practice,the author extracted details according to the“Fashion Magazine”dress popular element.It would be a big design phase collision to use the 80 s pop elements and modern women’s clothingto which was extracted from the popular elements of the typical hubble-bubble sleeve,flowers design,square collar,skirt decoration,shoulder pads for innovation,design practice,and finally,combined together.In summary,it has been finished via self-design and production as a clothing series: “Back to young”.The project has completed the theoretical systematic analysis,the extraction of popular elements,and the combination with modern design,striving to provide a certain reference value for the future design of women’s wear.
