With the enhancement of people’s safety awareness,more and more attention is paid to the fire safety requirements of materials.When a fire occurs,the material should not only maintain a high flame retardancy,but also reduce the production of toxic gases to improve the chance of escape.Thermoplastic polyurethane elastomers(TPU)are widely used in all walks of life because of their excellent processing and weather resistance.However,TPU will release a large number of toxic gases,such as HCN,CO,etc.,which will suffocate people and cause irreversible damage to human respiratory tract when fire occurs.Moreover,it is easy to melt droplets in the combustion process and cause fire spread,which leads to the limited application of thermoplastic polyurethane and its composites in related fields.In this work,three kinds of new hybrid compounds were prepared and added into thermoplastic polyurethane(TPU)after they were mixed with intumescent flame retardant(IFR).The effects of these compounds on the flame retardant,smoke suppression and thermal conductivity of TPU were studied.(1)Through the hydrothermal method success will MoO3 nanorods load to the graphene surface preparation of MoO3-RGO complex compound,then through coprecipitation ZIF-8 particles adsorbed to the synthesis of MoO3 surface of GO ZIF-8/MoO3-RGO secondary modified graphene complex compound,with the intumescent flame retardant(IFR)compound with the added to the thermoplastic polyurethane(TPU),study its effect on the properties of TPU flame retardant properties and thermal conductivity.The structure and morphology of the compounds were characterized by SEM,XRD and FTIR.On the one hand,the flame retardant and smoke suppression performance of TPU were significantly improved by adding only a small amount of impurities and expansive flame retardant.On the other hand,the thermal conductivity test results show that the thermal conductivity of the composite with the addition of impurities is also significantly improved.(2)By flame retardant modification of green renewable diatomite,MoS2 and Cu2O were loaded on the surface of diatomite at the same time,and ternary hybrid Cu2O&MoS2@DME(CMD)was successfully prepared.Then,CMD and IFR were mixed and added to thermoplastic polyurethane(TPU).The results of subsequent combustion tests show that CMD and IFR have obvious synergistic flame retardant effect,and reduce the heat release rate peak(THR),peak heat release rate(p HRR)and smoke emission of TPU composites.(3)ZIFS modified biomass eggshell(CES)hybrid ZIF-8@CES was prepared.The results of XRD,FTIR and SEM showed that ZIF-8 was successfully loaded onto CES surface.It is then mixed with inflatable flame retardant and added to TPU.The combustion results show that the addition of ZIF-8@CES can reduce the smoke production rate and heat release of TPU composites.Figure[46]table[16]reference[122]...
