| Oil pollution caused by oil spills and industrial production has a great impact on the earth’s ecology and human health.How to efficiently treat oil-bearing wastewater has become an important research topic.Due to its special properties,superwetting materials can achieve efficient oil-water separation according to their different superwettability for oil and water,which has become one of the important methods of oil-water separation.In this paper,the hydrophobic cotton fabrics of palmitic acid-Si O2-APTMS/epoxy resin,H3BO3-Si O2-DTMS/PVDF and ODA-Si O2-DTMS/PDMS were prepared by ultrasonic assisted in-situ growth method,respectively.The chemical composition and surface morphology of superhydrophobic cotton fabric were analyzed by FT-IR and SEM,respectively.The mechanical stability,chemical stability,fouling resistance and oil-water separation properties of superhydrophobic cotton fabric were tested.The main results are as follows:(1)Palmitic acid-Si O2-APTMS/epoxy resin hydrophobic cotton fabric was prepared by ultrasonic assisted in-situ growth method.When the amount of epoxy resin and palmitic acid-Si O2-APTMS particles is 2.0 m L and 2.0 g,respectively,the surface hydrophobic property of cotton fabric is the best,and the contact angle(CA)is up to 149°.The hydrophobic cotton fabric has good mechanical durability.After sandpaper wear experiment,the water CA(WCA)decreases slightly after 30 cycles.After several cycles,the WCA decreases slightly,and still keeps good hydrophobicity.The hydrophobic cotton fabric has good chemical durability.After soaking in different p H solution for 12 h,the CA drops slightly.The separation efficiency of hydrophobic cotton fabric for five kinds of oil-water mixture is about 90%.The separation efficiency is high for hexane,chloroform and toluene with low viscosity but it is low for diesel and edible oil with high viscosity.(2)Superhydrophobic cotton fabrics were prepared by ultrasonic assisted in-situ growth method.When H3BO3-Si O2-DTMS particles was added to 1.0 g,the surface superhydrophobic property of cotton fabric was the best,and the CA reached 154.6°.After sandpaper wear experiment,the superhydrophobic cotton fabric still maintains good hydrophobicity after 30 cycles,and the WCA decreases to a certain extent after multiple cycles.When the superhydrophobic cotton fabric is immersed in different p H solution for 12 h,the hydrophobic property of the superhydrophobic cotton fabric decrease due to the influence of acid and alkali,and the chemical durability of the super hydrophobic cotton fabric will be improved.The separation efficiency of superhydrophobic cotton fabric for five kinds of oil and water mixtures is more than90%,indicating that the superhydrophobic cotton fabric has good oil and water separation performance.(3)ODA-Si O2-DTMS/PDMS superhydrophobic cotton fabrics were prepared by ultrasonic assisted in-situ growth method.When PDMS and ODA-Si O2-DTMS was1.0 m L and 3.0 g,respectively,the surface superhydrophobic performance of cotton fabric was the best,and the CA reached 164.5°.The superhydrophobic cotton fabric has good mechanical durability.After 40 cycles of sandpaper wear experiment,the surface of the superhydrophobic cotton fabric still keeps the WCA greater than 150°,which keeps the superhydrophobic property.After several cycles again,the surface still keeps close to the superhydrophobic property,suggesting the superhydrophobic cotton fabric has good chemical durability.Also,when the superhydrophobic cotton fabric is immersed in different p H solution for 12 h,the WCA is more than 150°,showing that it has good resistance to fouling.Besides,CAs of superhydrophobic cotton fabric for five kinds of common liquid were greater than 150°.After the superhydrophobic cotton soaked in the orange juice and coke,respectively,are taken out,it still kept dry and clean surface,suggesting that common liquid cannot impregnated to superhydrophobic cotton fabric.The separation efficiency of superhydrophobic cotton fabric for five kinds of oil-water mixtures is more than 90%.After 10 times of repeated separation of chloroform/water mixture,the separation efficiency of superhydrophobic cotton fabric can be maintained above 90%.It shows that the superhydrophobic cotton fabric has good reusability and good oil-water separation efficiency for most of the oil-water mixtures. |
