| Edible plant oil is a necessity in modern human diet, which is closely related to human health and diseases. Therefore,it has become the research focus of many experts and scholars.Fatty acids are the most important ingredients in edible plant oils.A large number of studies have shown that excessive intake of saturated fatty acids is associated with an increased risk of chronic diseases, while increasing the intake of unsaturated fatty acids helps to reduce the risk of chronic diseases.Camellia oil is a woody plant oil originated from China and rich in unsaturated fatty acids. Its fatty acid composition is similar to that of olive oil. Therefore,it is called Oriental olive oil.O live oil is an important edible oil in the Mediterranean diet. Therefore,in this paper,Drosophila and male SD rats were used as models, and olive oil and soybean oil were used as controls to study the effects of camellia oil on the lifespan of fruit flies and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)in rats.1.Fatty acid composition analysis of three vegetable oils: this study uses the gas chromatography method to analyze the fatty acid composition and relative content of three kinds of plant oils and plant oil feed. The content of saturated fatty acid is the lowest in camellia oil and the highest in olive oil.The highest content of camellia oil is oleic acid(80.01 %),while the oleic acid content of olive oil is slightly lower than that of camellia oil(74.51 %).The content of polyunsaturated fatty acids is low in camellia oil and olive oil.The linoleic acid in polyunsaturated fatty acids is the most abundant fatty acid in soybean oil.Gas chromatography of fatty acids showed that the n-6/n-3 ratio of polyunsaturated fatty acids in camellia oil, olive oil and soybean oil were 28.57,12.92 and 7.92,respectively.2.Comparative study on the Effects of camellia oil, olive oil and soybean oil on the life span of Drosophila: Drosophila culture media with three plant oils were prepared to explore the effects of camellia oil on the growth, development and life span of Drosophila. The results showed that the average life span of flies in the camellia oil group was the longest(33.4 d),and the change was 3.09 % compared with that in the basal feed group(32.4 d).The average life span of drosophila in the olive oil group was 32.7 days, and the change was 0.93 % compared with that in the basal feed group. The lowest mean life span was soybean oil-fed drosophila(31.8d),with a relative basal feed change of-1.85%.But the camellia oil-fed flies had the slowest growth and development and had a lower average body weight(0.45 mg).The results of MDA and antioxidant activities in drosophila showed that camellia oil had higher oxidative damage to drosophila than soybean oil,but lower than olive oil.The effect of soybean oil diet on oxidative stress in drosophila was mild. However, the most serious oxidative stress reaction occurred in drosophila fruit flies when olive oil was fed, which was reflected by the high content of MDA and the lowest activit y of SOD,CAT and GSH-PX among the three groups.3.Comparative Study on the effects of camellia oil, olive oil and soybean oil on nonalcoholic fatty liver in male SD rats: The effects of camellia oil on nonalcoholic fatty liver in rats were analyzed by observing the serum lipid, hepatocyte cytology and ultrastructure of the rats. The results of lipid analysis showed that the serum total cholesterol(TC)and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)levels of rats in the camellia oil group(COFG)were lower than those in the olive oil group(OOFG)and higher than those in the soybean oil group(SOFG).Cytological observation showed that the accumulation of lipid droplets(LD)in hepatocytes of rats fed with camellia oil was lower than that of rats fed with olive oil(OOFG),but higher than that of rats fed with soybean oil(SOFG).Ultrastructural analysis showed that the size and number of LDs in hepatocytes were related to the degree of organelle damage(including the location of the nucleus, mitochondria and endoplasmic reticulum integrity). To sum up,tea oil has a higher inducing effect on NAFLD disease than soybean oil,but lower than olive oil.For a healthy diet, not the lower the proportion of alpha linolenic acid and linoleic acid, the better.Further research is needed to explore a best proportion of linoleic acid and alpha linolenic acid.In addition. The induction of NAFLD may be related to other factors such as monounsaturated fatty acids and active ingredients of plants. This study provides a new perspective for exploring the effects of camel ia oil diet on NAFLD. |
