The Application Of Paper-cut Elements In Animation Creation Design Research

Paper-cut art is a traditional folk art favored by the Chinese people.Up to now,it has been highlighting the traditional folk characteristics and folk culture of our country.The main content of this paper is based on the application design of paper-cut elements in animation creation.At the beginning of writing,through learning relevant materials and visiting exhibitions,I had a comprehensive understanding and learning of the characteristics of paper-cut art,and after actually making paper-cut works,I was more sure to integrate it into the creation of the short film as an element.In the creation of animated short films,the paper cut art is absorbed from the hollow sense of expression,and part of the characters in the short films are designed and shaped,so that the paper cut art is fully integrated into the creation of animation.The writing of this thesis is divided into four chapters.The first chapter elaborates the research background,explains the reasons and significance of integrating paper cutting into animation creation,and also explains the research methods and content used.The second chapter is an overview of the art of paper cutting,mainly analyzes the artistic characteristics and production techniques of paper cutting art;The third chapter analyzes the feasibility of the combination of paper-cut art and animation creation.The fourth chapter shows and explains in detail the creation process of this paper related animation short film.The last part of the conclusion,this paper and the animation short film made the final summary and thinking.The design work related to this paper,"Paper-cut Memory",is a short animated film created and designed by the combination of 2D animation and 3D animation,with family affection,friendship and inheritance as the theme.It is the original intention of the writing of this paper and the creation of the short film to inherit the traditional folk paper-cut art with the professional knowledge and technology of animation.The design works will be shown in the PPT of the defense report in the form of video.During the writing of the paper and the production of the animation short film,I learned the design characteristics of the hollow sense of paper-cut art,innovatively transformed and designed the mobile phone stand in the short film,and produced an animation derivative with paper-cut elements.In 2021,I obtained the utility model patent certificate,the patent number is: 202021299368.X.The props in the animated short film "Paper-cut Memory" involved in this paper: scissors.Its appearance design submitted the relevant patent application,and in October 2020 through the State Intellectual Property Administration of the People’s Republic of China,obtained the "appearance design" patent certificate,the patent number is: 202030361632.7.
