The Application Of Pop Art In Modern Fashion Design And Its Aesthetic Characteristics

In the history of Art,some art forms come and go with the torrent of the times,but the development of Pop Art has never stopped.On the one hand,because it has been firmly grasping the psychological needs of people and catch people’s attention with simple repeated patterns and exaggerated modeling structure.On the other hand,Pop Art can perfectly integrate interest,fashion sense and people’s flaunting psychology into one dress which becomes the best choice for many consumers to show their own style.The above two points are not only the reason why Pop Art can constantly radiate the spirit,but also the external motivation for this paper to deeply explore the aesthetic characteristics of pop style fashion.As part of popular culture,Pop Art can also be understood as popular art.It is a reflection of the current social political environment,cultural focus,business model and popular trend.This art form not only inspires the creative inspiration of many designers,but also has great influence on fashion design and a deal of design fields.Based on the research of Pop Art and pop style clothing,this paper first introduces the emergence and development of Pop Art and the representative works and artistic style of pop style clothing design.Secondly,it focuses on the common elements and expression techniques in pop style fashion design,as well as analyzes the emotion and style it reflects.On this basis,the aesthetic characteristics and anti-aesthetic features in pop style fashion design are examined deeply,then it can be continued to explore its inherent aesthetic value and the problems must be handled.Finally,the thesis summarizes the influence of Pop Art on contemporary fashion design,and analyzes what contribution pop style fashion design can make to the development of the garment industry and fashion aesthetics in the present and future.In recent years,although China has been vigorously developing its own apparel industry,striving to gain a place in the world,there is still a gap between China and the West in this field due to the late start and other historical constraints.In order to revitalize the Chinese fashion design,the prerequisite is to design innovative costumes with Chinese national characteristics based on a full understanding of Chinese culture and traditional Chinese aesthetics.Furthermore,it is also necessary to comply with the trend of globalization,learn from the interesting and valuable forms like Pop art so as to keep up with the pace of world fashion.
