Fashion Design And Practice Based On The Theory Of Modularity

The changes in living standards and clothing styles of consumers are becoming more and more complex.At present,it is difficult for people to find the style they needs in stores.At the same time,fast fashion has shorten the distance between consumers and fashion,they start buy more and more clothes.In the circumstances,it shortens the life of clothing and brings pressure to resources and environment.The environmental protection of clothing industry has attracted wide public attention.More and more consumers are willing to choose clothing products with environmental protection and sustainable design concept.The main purpose of this paper is to apply the modular design method in the field of architecture and industrial production to fashion design,and explore its application methods in the sustainable design,multi-wear clothes and participatory design.Firstly,this paper summarizes the literature of modular fashion design and participatory design,and then analyzes and summarizes the modular cases and similar phenomena in the fields of architecture,industrial production and fashion design.On this basis,through the way of design experiments,this paper analyzes and summarizes the modular fashion design methods including the division mode of garment module components,the disassembly and assembly of module components,and the hierarchical division of clothing module components。This paper uses design practice to verify the clothing design method based on modular theory,and explores its possibilities in terms of increasing user experience,environmental protection,and reducing production costs.
