Compared with carbon black,silica as a reinforcing filler for tire tread rubber can effectively reduce tire rolling resistance and increase wet skid resistance.It meets the standards of the European Union Tire Labeling Act and is more in line with the current needs of green development.However,the surface of silica contains a large number of silanol groups,which makes the surface exhibit higher polarity.At the same time,a large number of hydrogen bonding and polycondensation reactions make the silica easy to agglomerate in the rubber matrix,which affects its reinforcing effect.Therefore,in order to reduce the instability of silica particles,prevent the agglomeration of silica particles and improve their dispersibility in rubber,surface modification is required.In this paper,natural rubber is used as the matrix to explore the influence of eutectic solvent(DES)modified silica on the properties of natural rubber composites.The DES in-situ modified silica natural rubber composite material was prepared by two-stage mixing,and the effect of different DES dosages on the performance of the composite material was explored.The processing properties,mechanical properties and dynamic mechanical properties of composite materials were tested and analyzed.The experimental results show that the addition of DES can increase the vulcanization speed of the composite material and increase the vulcanization efficiency.DES can make the silica uniformly dispersed in the rubber matrix,and improve the interaction between the silica and the rubber matrix,the tensile strength of the composite material,the tearing strength and fixed elongation stress are improved,the wear resistance is improved,and the rolling resistance is reduced.DES was used to modify the silica by wet method,and the DES modified silica filled natural rubber composite was prepared through two-stage mixing.The influence of DES wet modified silica on the properties of filled natural rubber was explored.The experimental results show that DES is supported on the surface of silica through hydrogen bonds with the hydroxyl groups on the surface of the silica.A proper amount of DES can reduce the polarity of the silica surface.The silica is uniformly dispersed in the rubber matrix and improves By modifying the force between the modified silica and the natural rubber matrix,the overall performance of the rubber composite is significantly improved,when the amount of DES is too much,a large amount of DES is loaded on the surface of the silica,and the hydrogen bond between DES makes the change,the dispersibility of the silica in the rubber matrix becomes poor,and the performance of the rubber composite material is slightly reduced,but it is still better than the natural rubber composite material filled with unmodified silica.A natural rubber composite was prepared by synergistically modified silica with DES and silane coupling agent(TESPT).The experiment explored the influence of the dosage of DES and TESPT on the properties of composite materials.The research results show that TESPT and DES are supported on the surface of silica through covalent bonds and hydrogen bonds;the synergistic modification of silica by TESPT and DES can make the silica uniformly dispersed in the rubber matrix and strengthen the gap between the silica and the rubber matrix interaction.DES and TESPT successfully modified the silica through hydrogen bonding,which reduced the adsorption of the silica to the accelerator and greatly improved the vulcanization efficiency.After modification,the dispersibility of silica in natural rubber is improved,and the force between it and the rubber matrix is enhanced,thereby greatly improving the mechanical properties and wear resistance of the vulcanizate.At the same time,when the dosage of TESPT is 1phr,adding 1phr of DES can reduce the rolling resistance of the tire while maintaining good wet skid resistance.
