With the in-depth development of the manufacturing industry,the requirements of various industries for product manufacturing efficiency and manufacturing precision are increasing.However,the improvement of the overall manufacturing quality of products is inseparable from excellent processing and manufacturing tools.end mills are one of the most widely used tools in basic manufacturing industries such as aviation,automobiles,and electronics,and their own manufacturing accuracy will have a huge impact on the processing quality of cutting parts.Therefore,the quality inspection before the end mill is put into use is of great significance to the further improvement of the product quality of the manufacturing industry.This subject is derived from the actual needs of the tool production industry,and it is planned to use an automated method based on machine vision to detect the geometric parameters and appearance defects of the end milling cutter.This method combines three-dimensional coordinate acquisition and image information processing to realize batch online inspection of the quality parameters of end mills.The thesis first introduced the production background and quality inspection requirements of the end mill,and analyzed the main geometric parameters and appearance defects of the end mill.Secondly,the development trend of end mill inspection technology and the research status at home and abroad are investigated,and the current mainstream tool inspection equipment is compared.Finally,comprehensively obtain the quality inspection method of end milling cutter in this article.According to the proposed detection method,the working principle of the end mill quality detection system is explained,and its main subsystem modules are divided according to the principle.After that,the main working components of each module were selected,and the key factors affecting the working accuracy and speed of the end mill visual inspection system were analyzed.For the mechanical motion module,firstly,the mechanical layout form of the module is determined by analyzing the structure type of the coordinate measuring machine.Aiming at the specific positioning problem of the key clamp in the mechanical motion module,a method to reduce the clamping error of the end mill is proposed.And used a linear grating ruler optimization method to correct the mechanical motion accuracy of the module.Secondly,the camera and lens of the image acquisition subsystem have been calibrated and distortion corrected.By comparing the effects of the main image filtering algorithms,a method to eliminate the image noise of the end mill is determined.In view of the geometric parameters of end mills and the manifestations of appearance defects,the relevant image processing algorithms are explored.And selected some geometric parameters and appearance defects of the end mill to carry out related testing experiments.Aiming at the computer processing module of the detection system,an automatic measurement software for end mills based on I++ DME is designed.First,through the analysis of the I++ DME module layout and system functions,the overall architecture design of the end mill measurement software is completed.Secondly,the key functions of the measurement software are designed and tested in detail.
