With the rapid progress of urbanization since the 1990 s,China’s energy transformation has become increasingly urgent.Natural gas consumption and its infrastructure have made great progress, but it still faces the problem of imbalance and inadequacy. At present, both internal and external factors in the development of China’s natural gas industry are more and more positive. Therefore,it is more and more important to study the law of natural gas consumption and the linkage development of infrastructure in China’s urbanization process.Based on the qualitative analysis, this paper USES the simultaneous equation model to make a quantitative analysis on the linkage development of natural gas consumption and infrastructure in China’s urbanization process from 1989 to 2018 under government policy intervention. The results show that :(1)natural gas consumption and its infrastructure are interactive and interconnected.(2)urbanization plays a fundamental role in China’s natural gas consumption demand and infrastructure construction.(3)government policies have played an important role in the interconnected development of China’s natural gas consumption and its infrastructure.(5)the new urbanization still has huge potential not only in quantity, but also qualitatively different from previous urbanization, which plays a stronger role in promoting the interconnected development of natural gas consumption and infrastructure in China.
