Electrochemical polishing has the characteristics of high efficiency,low cost and good polishing effect.It is a common surface polishing method for titanium alloys and is widely used in the surface treatment of biomedical titanium alloys.In this paper,electrochemical polishing method is used to polish the side surface of TC4 titanium alloy cylindrical parts.Aiming at the problems of electrochemical polishing,ion beam polishing is used to further treat the surface of the parts,and the duplex polishing process for TC4 titanium alloy cylindrical parts is studied.In this paper,the electrochemical polishing process of TC4 titanium alloy cylindrical parts was studied by using self-made electrochemical polishing device.According to the current density,solution ratio and polishing time,the single factor experiment is designed to study the influence of three process parameters on polishing effect,and the appropriate range of process parameters is selected.On this basis,the orthogonal experiment is designed to analyze the influence of three factors on polishing effect,and the optimal process parameter is anode current 1.0A,the volume ratio of perchloric acid to methanol in the electrolyte was 1:7,and the polishing time was 4 min.By analyzing the main components of surface roughness,the mechanical polishing method of sandpaper grinding is used as the pretreatment of electrochemical polishing to improve the polishing effect and make the surface roughness meet the requirements of the project.Through the measurement of electrochemical characteristic curve,the electrochemical process of anode surface under different anode potential and current density was analyzed,and the reason of effective polishing under high current density was clarified;After that,the surface composition after polishing under different current density was analyzed to further verify the electrochemical reaction under different conditions;By analyzing the variation of voltage with time in the polishing process,the electrochemical process in the polishing process is further clarified.The residual electrolyte after electrochemical polishing will corrode the smooth substrate and form oxide film in some areas.To solve this problem,the method of ion beam polishing is used to further treat the surface of the parts,and the duplex polishing process is studied.The results show that ion beam polishing has little effect on the surface roughness and surface morphology under different parameters and can effectively remove the oxide film on the surface caused by residual electrolyte corrosion and obtain a smooth surface of TC4 titanium alloy after polishing.
