Machine tools,as the "industrial master machine",are leading the intelligent process of manufacturing.A large number of studies have been conducted to visualize and monitor the machining process of machine tools through digital twins,but the presentation of the machining process and machine tool status is mainly based on two-dimensional electronic signage and diagrams,which is far from the actual production process and lacks threedimensional visualization and process analysis.For the above problems,this thesis takes five-axis CNC machine tool as the research object,based on CNC machining simulation technology and machining process data,research and realize the 3D visualization monitoring for machine tool machining process.According to the types of machining process data,a 3D visualization and monitoring proposal designed: 1.The input data of CNC machining simulation is replaced with realtime position data to realize 3D visualization of machine tool motion;2.The voxel model is used to visualize the machine tool state data and the analysis of machining process.Workpiece modeling is completed using Voxel modeling method based on octree.In order to reduce memory footprint and improve the efficiency of Boolean operations for cutting process simulation,firstly,the number of Voxels to be modeled and stored is reduced by extracting the nodes of the part to be cut according to the known shape of the target part at the time of monitoring;secondly,the data structure of the octree is improved to achieve node hierarchy traversal and improve the node query efficiency to O(1);finally,based on the AABB-OBB hybrid bounding box of the tool,the simulation of the cutting process of the workpiece is completed by using the Boolean algorithm of hierarchical bounding box detection followed by vertex interference detection.Various types of machining process data were collected using NC-Link protocol,and the machine status data is saved and visualized during the cutting process using voxel.Based on the saved command line number data,machining abnormalities such as "undercutting" and "overcutting" are detected,and the machining process of the machine is retraced(viewed from any viewpoint).Based on the self-developed 3D visualization development platform Visual Field System,we have completed the prototype development of 3D visualization monitoring system for machine tool machining process,and conducted experimental verification and analysis of its functions.
