Polymers with photothermal effect have received extensive attention from researchers because of their significant application value in soft actuators,self-healing materials,and bionic research.Therefore,it is of great significance to construct new photothermal materials.In this thesis,we have constructed a new type of photothermal polymer by using dicyanodistilbene(DCS),and investigated the internal relationship between the chemical structure of the polymer and its photophysical properties,and explored its application in the field of response smart windows.The details information are as follows:1.The monomer M0 with dicyanodistyrene(DCS)as the rigid core is designed and synthesized,and the corresponding side chain polymer P0 was obtained by free radical polymerization.The chemical structures of the monomer M0 and polymer P0 are confirmed via GPC and NMR.The thermal stability IS studied by TGA,and phase structure is confirmed studied by POM,DSC,and X-ray small angle scattering(SAXS).The results show that both the monomer M0 and the polymer P0 show good thermal stability.Both the monomer M0 and the polymer P0 present birefringence under polarized light,which indicate the formation of a columnar phase liquid crystal structure.The photophysical properties is achieved through ultraviolet absorption spectroscopy(UV)and fluorescence emission spectroscopy(PL),and the results show that both monomers and polymers display an aggregation induced enhancement effect(AIEE).The photothermal studies on M0 powder and P0 powder show that both have excellent photothermal effects.2.The random copolymer M0-co-GMA with M0 and glycidyl methacrylate(GMA)as monomers is designed and synthesized.The phase structure of random copolymers is studied by DSC and POM.The results show that the incorporation of GMA can not only adjust the liquid crystal phase interval,but also affect the development of its liquid crystal phase structure.Due to the presence of GMA,the random copolymer M0-co-GMA can be thermally cross-linked with the substrate to form a stable polymer brush,which can induce the vertical alignment of the chiral liquid crystal mixture within a suitable concentration range.Based on our discovery that under UV light irradiation,dicyanodistyrene exhibits a photothermal effect,we use this polymer brush to prepare a responsive polymer stabilized liquid crystal(PSLC)smart window.The transparency of the smart window can be adjusted by the concentration of the polymer brush.The vertical arrangement of the chiral smectic PSLC is induced by the polymer brush to achieve the transparent state of the smart window;the opaque state(focal conic state)can be achieved by UV light irradiation or heating.Changing the concentration of the random copolymer M0-co-GMA and the intensity of UV light can control the response time of the PSLC smart window.
