Along with expansion of modern information science and technology,traditional equipment manufacturing is turning into two directions,intelligent and informatization.Because of being considered as the "industrial mother machine" of the manufacturing industry,the intelligentized degree of CNC machine tools has an important impact on the implementation of intelligent manufacturing strategies.The in-depth integration of the state monitoring of machine tools with network communication technology,sensor technology and information processing technology critical research significance,which can greatly accelerate the pace of machine tools towards intelligence and improve intelligence level.Digital Twins refers to the technology that uses emerging information technology to build virtual models and describes the characteristics,performance,behavior and rules of physical entity.Further more,it monitors the behavior,predicts the performance of physical object and reversely controls.As digital twin is the best means to achieve the integration of physical space and information space,some related technical researches on digital twin machine tools have attracted wide attention from academic and business circles at home and abroad,in recent years.This paper takes five-axis CNC machine tools as the research object.Based on the intelligent monitoring requirements of complex manufacturing equipment,it completes researches on key technologies such as virtual simulation on graphics engine,and establishes a virtual machine tool model.It designs and develops a set of virtual machine tool modeling and monitoring system oriented to digital twins on this basis.This system realizes the application of the digital twin concept in the field of CNC machine tools.The main researches include the following:(1)The program design of modeling and monitoring for digital twin machine tools.Ascertain design targets of the project and analyze the functional demands to confirm the overall architecture.According to the characteristics of virtual machine tool modeling and visual monitoring,analyze key issues such as virtual model construction and status monitoring;(2)The construction of five-axis machine tool digital twin model based on multidimensional.The physical machine tool is described from three dimensions--geometry,logic,and data.Then a virtual machine tool model that is highly similar in shape,consistent in operation logic and fusion of operation data compared with the physical one is constructed,which ensures that the model has the ability of visual,structural,logical twins and real-time data interaction;(3)Real-time status monitoring of five-axis machine tools based on the digital twin model.On the basis of the digital twin model of the machine tool,an event-driven status detection technology is proposed to analyze and process the sampled data.Then the data is visually processed and mapped on the digital twin model.On account of the above technology,a realtime status monitoring program for the machine tool is constructed to realize remote status monitoring;(4)Development and verification of digital twin system.Set up the development environment required by the system and design the system software framework.After completing the interface design and interaction realization of each functional module,a real machine test is carried out with a five-axis machine tool as the object.The fluency and realtime performance of the system during the operation are analyzed.Experiments show that the system is stable and reliable,the model visualization effect is good,the movement is smooth and there is no stall.The real-time data collection delay is low.
