According to the 2017 revision of the genetically modified organism, the term genetically modified foods refers to the use of genetic engineering techniques to alter the genetic make up,animals, plants, microorganisms and their products used in agricultural production or processing of agricultural products.Since 1996,the GM foods has played an important role in alleviating global hunger, malnutrition and the need for diversity, and countries have focused on GM technology and GM foods development. However,as a product of new technology in the food industry, the nutrition, toxicity, drug resistance and allergy issues have aroused heated public debate and become the focus of attention.Research shows that public acceptance of GM foods is generally low,Skepticism is a serious constraint to the development and promotion of GM technology and GM foods, affecting the coordinated development. Therefore,it is of great significance for risk identification, risk management and risk communication to explore the main factors that influence risk perception of public GM foods in the context of Internet +.This study based on social risk theory and planned behavior theory are introduced, variables and influence dimensions are determined, and public cognition model of GM food risk is constructed,to explore the influencing factors of public perception of GM food risk and the mechanism of interaction among various variables. In Shijiazhuang, data are collected through interviews and questionnaires to analyze the demographic characteristics and cognitive attitudes of the public towards genetically modified foods.Reliability-validity analysis, variance analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were used to test the hypothesis of SEM.The difference of influencing factors and the mechanism were analyzed. To put forward the policy recommendations of China's GM foods. The results show that:(1)gender,age,occupation and GM food risk perception are significant, education level and income are not significant, which indicates that internet opinion and social experience have complex effects on risk perception;(2)the higher the level of GM foods fear and health concern, the greater the risk perception;(3)the higher the level of social trust and food safety concern, the lower the GM food risk perception.Scientists, governments, and companies need effective guidance to help the public develop an objective and rational understanding of GM foods. Therefore,in order to reduce the risk perception of the public, this paper puts forward some suggestions from three aspects: first,to strengthen the propaganda of GM foods;Second, strengthen government supervision, improve the GM foods system,GM food risk traceability system, build information disclosure platform, enhance social trust, encourage public participation; The third is to strengthen the enterprise to the GM food risk prevention, enhances the food security and improve public risk perception. This study provides a public cognitive perspective on risk management in the GM foods and promotes the orderly development of GM food industry.
