Pesticides are playing an important part in modern agriculture,and among them benzoyl cyanide acaricides have become a heated research topic in recent years.Benzoyl cyanide acaricides have a huge development potential in the future with their novel structure,unique mechanism of action,broad spectrum,high efficiency,low toxicity,low residue,high selectivity and environmental friendliness.Cyflumetofen,one of the benzoyl acetonitrile acaricides,was developed by Japan otsuka chemical company,and registered for sale in 2007.It has been used mainly for the prevention and treatment of mite bugs on fruit trees,vegetables,and ornamental plants,etc.With the further research on its synthetic process and application technology,this product has a brighter application prospect in the agricultural practice in our country.This project is about the research on cyflumetofen synthetic process.There are few domestic reports on synthetic routes of the cyflumetofen,so after a comprehensive comparison among several synthetic routes,we ultimately to determined to synthesize cyflumetofen through cyanidecondensation,hydrolysis,transesterification and acylation.Under the optimal condition,the total yield was 60.3% based on 4-tert-butybenzyl chloride and the purity was 98.2%.The reactions to each step in the process and the problems and the side effects are also discussed in detail.The synthesis process has the advantages of high yield,simple operation and high purity,so it can be applied to industrial production.
