| PROS Company is a South Korean enterprise which is engaged in international chemical trade,and main business is raw chemical material trade,especially for fluorine chemical products.The Shanghai subsidiary company opened in 2011.Thanks to the fast-growing trade between China and South Korea,PROS has developed steadily and rapidly in recent years.However,the cross-cultural conflict between Chinese and South Korean employees become more and more serious because of differenct culture background,sense of worth and so on.It becomes an urgent problem to be solved for whole company.The article applies Geert Hofstedeās model of culture difference to analyze and identify the culture conflicts in PROS by means of questionair survey and interview.The conclusions are following:1)Strict hierarchy in management;2)Remuneration gap between South Korean and Chinese employees;3)Communication barriers between South Korean and Chinese employees;Based on above-mentioned findings,in order to improve the cross-culture communication and intermingle,this article puts forward following recommendations and actions on aspects of idea and system:1)Seek common ground and unite the team;2)Enhance communication and build up the common value;3)Build up multi-communication channels;4)Cross training on different cultures;5)Set up effective remuneration and incentive mechanism;6)Stick to localization strategy;Last but not least,the article concludes aboved action points,and would further analyze the management structure and incentive mechanism,aiming to raise more practical practices to assist the company to building up a cross-culture team. |
