Wetland is a transitional area between terrestrial ecosystems and aquatic ecosystems.It is an important ecosystem with many wildlife resources.Under the dual pressure of rapid population growth and rapid economic development,a large number of wetlands have been invaded and destroyed in our country.There is an urgent need to propose reasonable and scientific means of protection to promote the harmonious development of people and nature in the region.The regional features is a region that is distinct from other regions in terms of both nature and humanity.This concept is widely used in many fields of research.This study takes Foshan wetland resources as the main research object;based on 3S technology,field survey,and literature review methods,analyzed the features of natural resources and human resources in Foshan City,comparative analyzed the wetland resource data between 2000 and 2015.By integrating regional features into the protection and utilization of wetland resources,combining with sustainable development theory,landscape ecology theory,wetland ecological restoration theory,environmental carrying capacity theory and ecological succession theory,we proposed the protection and utilization plan of Foshan wetland resources based on regional features.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)According to the analysis,although the wetland resources are abundant in Foshan City,due to the rapid development of the city,the wetland is invaded and polluted seriously.From 2000 to 2015,the total wetland area of the city has decreased by about 14221.26 hm~2,and the reduction rate is 13.99%.(2)Based on the summary and refinement of the regional features of Foshan City,this study identified four protection level of wetland resources in Foshan City,among them,total wetland area of classⅠ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,andⅣare 6103.64 hm~2,10883.04 hm~2,3326.07 hm~2,and 67144.48 hm~2,respectively,and the proportion is 6.98%,12.44%,3.81%,76.77%,respectively.In addition,we proposed the main means of wetland classification management.(3)Based on the summary and refinement of the regional features of Foshan City,this study identified the protection and utilization mode of wetland resources in Foshan City,that’s“protect Xi River and Bei River two major rivers;build three ecological protection barriers;construction four wetland ecological corridors;plan five areas separately;built 87wetland parks,100 demonstration villages of water environment management,and 10000mu of water conservation forest.”(4)Based on the summary and refinement of the regional features of various administrative regions of Foshan City,this study identified that the scientific and reasonable wetland protection and utilization in Chancheng district is mainly focused on developing ecological science education and displaying cultural;in Nanhai district is mainly focused on deploying wetland plant;in Shunde district is mainly focused on restoring the mulberry fish pond;in Gaoming district is mainly focused on building water conservation forest;in Sanshui district is mainly focused on improving biodiversity.(5)Based on the analysis of regional features,this study planed the main construction content of the Shunde Mulberry-Fish-Pond Wetland Park,Sanshui Yundonghai Wetland Park,and the Xi River,Bei River;determined to build Nansha Jinsha Island Wetland Park as the Green Ecology Card of Foshan City.(6)Based on the regional features of Foshan City,first of all,this study proposed specific wetland protection and restoration methods,such as:protect water quality,repair the river bank,control water pollution;secondly,this study confirmed the construction type of wetland parks in three types:go sightseeing,study wetland knowledge or appreciate wetland culture;once again,this study choose 10 basic tree species,69 main tree species,and 200 waterfront plants,in order to improve the wetland plant configuration of Foshan City;finally,this study proposed the main measures for biodiversity conservation in Foshan City from three levels:genetics,species and ecosystem landscape.
