Tower cranes are important machinery in the field of building construction.The construction life cycle of the tower crane includes the installation,jacking,using and dismantling stage.Tower crane production activities are complex and dynamic processes,which involve various factors such as human,machine,environment,management and so on.Therefore,these activities are accident-prone.More accidents occur during the tower crane using stage.Traditional tower crane operation safety monitoring systems for using stage promote the perception of tower crane operation status,but there are still limitations in terms of control scope and information utilization.In order to further improve the tower crane operation safety management,this thesis performed a systematic modeling analysis of the lifting operation during the tower crane using stage,and attempted to optimize the tower crane operation safety monitoring system by introducing the building information technology.First,the tower crane operation system was modeled based on the functional resonance analysis method(FRAM),then the system functions and potential variabilities were identified through accident reports research and expert investigation.Afterwards,the functional variability coupling paths of typical accident types were identified through the qualitatively analysis,and the improved quantitative analysis method for the risk analysis scenario was proposed to distinguish the relative importance of the functional variability coupling relationships.On this basis,the necessity of carrying out tower crane operation safety monitoring was clarified,and the main monitoring contents and indicators were sorted out.Then,the requirements and functions of the tower crane operation safety monitoring system were analyzed,and the system structure was proposed based on the cyber-physical systems(CPS)application framework,which contains three parts: physical objects,cyber model,and cyber-physical linkage.Finally,the safety monitoring platform for tower crane operation was constructed,and the development process of hardware and software was introduced.In particular,by integrating tower crane operation monitoring data with BIM model and real-time positioning information,the real-time monitoring of the interaction between the tower crane and other objects in construction site was realized.Moreover,BP neural network was used to extract system operating knowledge from the monitoring data,which supports the prediction of tower crane operation safety status.This research adopted the functional perspective to understand the tower crane operating system,and provided a feasible solution to apply FRAM in system risk analysis scenario.The integrated management and control of multiple elements of the system were realized through the CPS-based tower crane operation safety monitoring system,which highlights the advantages of information fusion.
