Evaluation Of The Human Settlement Environment Suitability In The Rural Areas Of Huangshan And Analysis Of Its Driving Factors

In recent years,in the context of rural revitalization and the construction of a beautiful China,the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and China goverment have attached great importance to the construction of rural human settlements environment.It is an important period for China to promote the formation of green development mode and life style,promote the construction of beautiful China,realize the sustainable development of the China,and step into the socialist modernization during the “14th Five-Year Plan”.Improving rural human settlements environment is a solid step to make beautiful countryside the background of beautiful China.The improvement of human settlement environment can not only improve the quality of ecological environment,but also increase the satisfaction and happiness of people’s life.It is conducive to understanding the current situation and future development direction of the human settlement environment in Huangshan city,and provides scientific support for the correct handling of the relationship between ecological environmental protection and environmental pressure caused by population expansion through studying the suitability of the human settlement environment in Huangshan’s towns and villages.It will provide reference for Huangshan City to plan high-quality development and build “beautiful Huangshan City model”.The thesis reads and sorts out a large number of domestic and foreign literature on human settlement environment research,and builds an evaluation index system for the suitability of the rural human settlement environment in Huangshan City on this basis.By the constructed index system,the thesis evaluated the suitable level of the human settlement environment of each town in Huangshan city from the aspect of natural suitability,and combined it with the population distribution density of Huangshan city to explore the impact of the natural suitability of the human settlement environment on the characteristics of population distribution.Using the projection pursuit model,through the processing of index data,the thesis made further research on the suitability level of the rural human settlement environment in Huangshan city from the aspect of humanistic and social factors,and analyzed the main factors affecting the suitability of human settlements.On this basis,some reference opinions on different suitable areas for human settlement environment were put forward.The main results are as follows:(1)The value of the human settlement environment index in Huangshan city was between 10.46 and 95.92,which implied the suitable spatial distribution of the human settlement environment in different town is uneven.In general,human settlement environment suitability in Huangshan city are mainly distributed around the Huangshan Scenic Area in the north of Huangshan City and the Xin’an River Valley in the south of Huangshan City.Specifically,it is mainly Huangshan District in the north of Huangshan City,including Taipinghu Town,Gantang Town,Gengcheng Town,Tangkou Town and Xinming Town,etc.Huizhou District and Tunxi District in the southeast of Huangshan City,including Huicheng Town,Yansi Town,Tunguang Town,Xintan Town,Yiqi Town,etc.And Qishan Town in Qimen County,southwest of Huangshan city.The low-value areas of the human settlement environment indexes in Huangshan city mainly located on the edge of Huangshan city and mountainous areas.This area had the characteristics of low radiation from high-level regional economic development and government policies,and large terrain undulations.(2)According to natural suitability evaluation,the areas of Huangshan City’s human settlement environment suitability showed general suitability areas > relatively suitable areas > critically suitable areas > highly suitable areas > unsuitable areas,which respectively accounted for the total area of Huangshan city,30.90%,28.71%,21.13%,12.19%,7.07%.From the perspective of socio-economic driving factors of human settlements,the number of towns in Huangshan City with highest-level,higher-level,general-level,lower-level and lowest-level accounted for 8.91%,16.83%,34.65%,25.74%,13.86%.Although the majority was town with high-levels,there were still 40 town with low-level,accounting for 39.60%,more than 1/3 of the total,indicating that the level of rural human settlements in Huangshan city need to be improved.(3)The spatial distribution of natural suitability of the human settlement environment was consistent with that of the evaluation of socio-economic driving factors in Huangshan city.Towns with high-level for the human settlement environment have a relatively highlevel of governance of the ecological environment,social construction level,and economic development level.The top five indicators that have an impact on the human settlement environment suitability were social security and employment expenditure(0.447),rural per capita disposable income(0.3992),urban per capita disposable income(0.3778),and tap water entry rate(0.3015),and the popularization rate of harmless sanitary toilets(0.2975).(4)The natural suitability of the human settlement environment in Huangshan city plays a key role in population distribution,and the human settlement environment index is directly proportional to population density.
