Quilting art,from life,but higher than life.It has evolved over thousands of years from practical to decorative.Quilting with the development of The Times,is an important evidence of social change.It has important research value for us to understand the value orientation in different periods and judge the development trend and trend of design.Throughout the history of quilting,although it originated in China,the research on quilting art in China is far behind that in the United States,Japan and South Korea.How to improve and innovate the art of quilting in China and create more valuable,appealing and attractive quilting works is a practical problem that needs to be discussed and solved urgently by many quilters in China.Starting from the origin and development status of patchwork art,this paper analyzes the fabric material,color,process and form of patchwork through collecting patchwork data and case analysis.Based on the formal aesthetic feeling and decorative features of patchwork,the aesthetic implication of patchwork decoration was analyzed.It tries to provide a breakthrough point for the development of Chinese quilting art and improve its spiritual value and aesthetic value.This paper discusses the space language of patchwork decoration from the perspective of space narration,and studies the design of patchwork decoration space in an interdisciplinary way.From the concept of space and the concept of space narrative,this paper explores the relationship between space narrative and patchwork decoration,analyzes the theory of space narrative,and then studies and develops patchwork decoration space.Make it more diversified.In the process of research and exploration,according to the previous analysis of patchwork art,decorative performance characteristics,form and spatial narrative theory,the design and production of patchwork decoration was carried out,and the progress proved the feasibility of combining patchwork decoration with spatial narrative.It provides a broader vision for the development of Chinese quilting art.At the same time,it also enriches and develops the overall design theory and practice of patchwork decoration art.
