Study On The Effect Of Pork Terms Of Trade On The Environmental Regulation Of Pig Industry In China

Since the 1970 s,the concept of environmental protection and sustainable development have gradually received general support from the public Environmental protection has become a consensus all over the world.Countries have also taken a series of measures to strengthen domestic prevention and control of environmental pollution.With the development of economic globalization,international trade has become an important engine of national economic development.Developing countries raise the level of domestic environmental regulation.On the one hand,it is order to protect their own ecological environment,on the other hand,they want to break the "Green trade barriers" which is built by developed countries.Under this background,the interaction between environment and trade has become an important issue that cannot be ignored.China is the largest developing country in the world,and also a big pork consumer country.Therefore,this paper chooses the terms of trade effect of environmental regulation of pig industry as the research object,and analyses the impact of environmental regulation on terms of trade of pork products from both theoretical and empirical aspects.This study uses literature analysis,theoretical derivation,empirical analysis and other research methods to study the trade conditions effect of environmental regulation of pig industry in China.First of all,On the basis of reviewing relevant literature and theories,this paper expounds how environmental regulation affects trade and terms of trade.Secondly,Combined with the definition and classification of environmental regulation,this paper analyzes the pollution characteristics of pig industry,the development process of environmental regulation and the main means of environmental regulation.Then,through the analysis and summary of the literature,refined eight methods of environmental regulation,which are classified into three categories:qualitative indicators,direct use of quantitative indicators and comprehensive indicators.Establish comprehensive pollutant emission intensity index as environmental regulation index.Then,according to the definition and calculation method of terms of trade,analyzes the changes of price terms of trade,income terms of trade and single factor terms of trade of pork products in China.Finally,on the basis of the above,build a fixed effect model with environmental regulation intensity as the core variable.The results show that the environmental regulation intensity is negatively correlated with the terms of trade of pork products.Based on theoretical and empirical analysis,in order to realize the coordinated development of environment and trade and improve the sustainable development level of China’s pig industry.It is necessary to improve the environmental regulation system of China’s pig industry,enrich the means of market incentive environmental regulation and voluntary environmental regulation,including improving relevant environmental laws and policy standard.Increased investment in the pig industry waste comprehensive treatment,explore new way to pollution control.Strengthen the certification system of environmental protection marks.This paper provides some references for pig enterprises of the future development direction and government environmental policy formulation.But due to the insufficient trade data of the provinces,the grouping regression can’t be carried out.I hope it can be improved in the future...
