| With the development of modern industry, the requirements for lubrication under special working conditions such as aerospace and high-speed railways are getting higher and higher. The metal self-lubricating method used in industry has been difficult to meet the requirements.Technologies in the field of lubrication need improvement urgently. As a green lubricant, ionic liquid has many excellent properties such as thermal stability, chemical stability, and electrical conductivity.Experiments have proven that ionic liquids perform well under electric and current-carrying conditions.Because of its unique lamellar structure, graphene oxide has been further studied as a nano-additive.Practice have proven that the use of graphene oxide can improve the lubricity of the base carrier fluid. In view of the excellent performance of ionic liquids and graphene oxides in the field of lubrication,in this paper, graphene oxide was used as a nano-additive and after appropriate surface modification,it was dispersed into ionic liquids.A long-term stable dispersion of ions was successfully prepared.Liquid-based graphene oxide colloids were subsequently analyzed and investigated for their dispersion stability and current-carrying lubricating properties. The main conclusions of the full text are as follows:(1)The length of the alkyl side chain of the surfactant and the ionic liquid will affect the dispersion stability of the graphene oxide colloidal system. The longer the length of the side chain of the surfactant and the base liquid is,the better the colloidal dispersion stability will be.(2)Friction experiments show that the dispersion concentration of graphene oxide will affect the lubricating properties of ionic liquid based graphene oxide colloids. When the dispersion concentration is 0.4 wt.%,ionic liquid-based graphene oxide performs the best anti-wear and anti-friction effect.(3)Under current carrying condition, the dispersion concentration of 0.4 wt.% still showed the best lubricating performance. With the increase of the current intensity, the friction coefficients of pure ionic liquid and ionic liquid based graphene oxide both showed an increasing trend, but the corresponding friction coefficient under liquid-based graphene oxide lubrication is always lower than that of pure ionic liquid, and its friction coefficient fluctuates less.At the same time, the ionic liquid-based graphene oxide has lower contact resistance and electrical power loss in the circuit。... |
