| In October 2017,the requirement of "speeding up the reform of the ecological civilization system " was put forward by President Xi Jinping in the report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.The ultimate realization of ecological civilization construction needs to improve the ecological civilization literacy of the whole people.The acquisition of literacy requires ecological civilization education,especially the strengthening of education in primary and secondary schools.Primary and secondary schools are critical for quality training,habits and values formation.Nowadays,there is still great potential for improvement of the ecological civilization literacy of primary and middle school students in Shanghai.The school’s emphasis on ecological civilization education has yet to be improved and the society has insufficient understanding of the educational function of the ecological civilization education base.This article explores the significance of strengthening the literacy of ecological civilization in primary and secondary schools,studies the mechanism of education to enhance the literacy of ecological civilization and delimits the boundaries of ecological civilization education in primary and secondary schools.The three stages of ecological civilization education reflect the gradual deepening of knowledge points and the level of knowledge.This paper guides the direction of ecological civilization education in primary and secondary schools by constructing an index system,and constructs three progressive index systems to evaluate students,schools and society respectively.Use case analysis and comparative analysis to study the current situation of ecological civilization education in Shanghai,and compare the self-evaluation of 53 primary and secondary schools in conjunction with the "Documentary of Ecological Civilization Education in Shanghai Primary and Secondary Schools" published in the journal "Environmental Education".It is found that the school pays more attention to indoor classroom education and cultural activities,but there are problems such as insufficient targeted teaching content,closed classrooms and textbook education and inadequacy in the linkage between teachers and home-school in middle schools.A case study of Shanghai’s ecological civilization education bases was carried out using the field investigation method.A total of 124 ecological civilization education bases in Shanghai are designated.The categories are divided into exhibition halls,parks and enterprises according to maintenance level,popular science resources and passenger flow.It is found that the base publicity needs to be strengthened,and the threshold for enterprises to visit is relatively high.Firstly,construct an indicator system for Shanghai’s primary and secondary school students’ ecological civilization literacy composed of 3 primary indicators and 24 secondary indicators,take garbage classification as an example,set up ecological civilization literacy test questions for schools and the structure reflects with the change of the school period.Constructing an ecological civilization school indicator system for primary and secondary schools in Shanghai composed of 6 primary and secondary indicators.Among the 53 sample schools,the average score of the elementary school group is 7.66 and the average score of the middle school group is 7.05.The overall score is low.The two-level differentiation is serious.Secondly,an index system for Shanghai’s ecologically civilized universities is established.A trial calculation is carried out on East China Normal University to prove the feasibility of evaluating the ecologically civilized schools.Thirdly,an indicator system of Shanghai Ecological Civilization Education Base was constructed by establishing 4 first-level indicators and14 second-level indicators.The average score of the exhibition hall group is 5.31,the average score of the park group is 4.91,and the average score of the enterprise group is3.66.With a score of 4.44,the overall score is also low and the two-level differentiation is serious.The base is easier to score in terms of explaining personnel and social responsibility,but the score is not satisfactory in terms of We Chat public account and public awareness,indicating that the base’s external publicity needs to be improved.Finally,taking the garbage classification as an example,the teaching design is designed for classroom education,the practice of science and technology innovation in the school,and the visit to the off-campus ecological civilization education base.The focus of classroom education is on the compilation of teaching materials,the teaching of teachers,and the teaching content of the three stages progressively.The school’s scientific and technological innovation practice needs to carry out garbage classification in the school,related researches,and encourage the development of garbage classification in the family.For the ecological civilization education base,use the Shanghai Xupu base and the Laogang waste landfill and incineration plant as examples to analyze how the base improves students’ ecological civilization literacy,hoping to attract more attention from the society. |
